Who are they
Global Golf’s business model is comprised of its core business, which are large stock orders from America supplying corporate golf days, branded apparel and headwear for golf clubs throughout South Africa. Employing over 100 staff members, the company has been focused on lifestyle and golf apparel, predominantly knit and woven shirts, trousers, jackets, sweaters, luggage and headwear.The retail division of the company, which has shown tremendous growth over the last 10 years, selling upmarket apparel that is well-presented, fashionable and functional. The division manages and runs 23 on-course high end retail shops around the country and Global Golf have made the selling of logo’d product a specialized and profitable business.
What did they need
Global Golf needed a way for all their retail stores and warehouses to work on a common, world class Accounting and sales platform, usually with little more than an internet connection. Accessibility and stability were key to ensuring that customers would be satisfied and that sales and business insight were delivered quickly and easily. In addition a new e-commerce portal was developed, and required a worldwide, easily scalable infrastructure to operate on.
How did we do it
Partnering with a business software provider SevenC delivered a robust Remote Desktop environment on local, cost effective Cloud Provider. This enabled the business to scale their necessary compute resources with their business, allowing business agility and controlling cost. Through the use of Microsoft Azure SevenC provided a globally available, scalable and security platform to host their e-commerce site.
