Welcome to the new year. We hope you had a refreshing break and are starting the year energised and ready for what lies ahead.

As businesses settle back into rhythm, we wanted to share a few updates and highlight what you can expect from us in the coming months. Starting this month, you will hear from us on the 7th of every month – simply said, 7C’s update on the 7th. We will share the most useful updates, practical guidance, and upcoming opportunities so that you can plan ahead and keep your IT simple, secure and reliable.

What’s ahead this year

New service desk enhancements

We’ll be launching a new service desk workflow tool, Atera, early in the year. This enhancement will improve ticket visibility, streamline communication, and support faster response times; helping us deliver an even more efficient and transparent support experience.

Insightful articles to support common IT challenges

Throughout the year, we’ll be sharing practical articles focused on common business IT challenges, including cybersecurity, backup and recovery, and modern workplace best practices. These resources are designed to help organisations make informed decisions and strengthen their IT foundations. We will let you know in future mailers when these articles are released.

Webinars planned for the year ahead

We’re also planning a series of webinars covering key IT and cybersecurity topics relevant to SMEs. These sessions will provide practical insights and guidance, and we’ll be sharing registration details soon.

As always, our team is here to support you and ensure your IT environment is well positioned for the year ahead. If you’d like to start the year with a review or conversation, we’d be happy to assist.

The IT Roundup

Smarter ways to manage security – without adding more work.

We’ve all felt it! The pressure of constant alerts and limited time to respond. That’s why we wanted to share something that’s changing the way IT teams work: Managed Detection and Response (MDR) from Sophos. It brings together AI-driven threat detection and clear, actionable insights so teams can respond faster and more confidently. Even non-security experts can now see what’s happening, why, and what to do next without the noise.

The best part? It integrates seamlessly with tools most teams already use, like Microsoft 365, AWS, and Google Workspace. It’s a practical look at how AI is making cybersecurity more human-friendly.
